Help save StarJam

StarJam’s in trouble – like many NZ charities, we have been impacted by the current economic climate, with high cost of living, increased cost of business and reduced funding streams finally catching up on us.

Without a boost of $100,000 in the next two weeks, StarJam will have to shut its doors.

Donate now and help raise $100,000 so that StarJam can be around to support hundreds more Jammers & their whānau.

StarJam's in trouble

Every week for the past 22 years, hundreds of young people in communities all around the country get together to take part in StarJam's vital music and performance workshops which provide a safe haven for young people with disabilities.

Workshops are donation-based in recognition of the financial hardship many families who have children with disabilities face and are open to all who want to participate, irrespective of their disability.

StarJam is all about what our young people can do.

However, the high cost of living, increased cost of doing business and reduced funding streams has caught up. Without your help to raise $100,000 now, StarJam will have to shut its doors and stop running workshops in two weeks.

One in five young New Zealanders is living with a disability, which means around 150,000 young people are facing considerable barriers.

StarJam gives young people the opportunity to experience "different doesn't make you less". We live in a world where people are still learning how to celebrate differences and StarJam creates a safe space where being you who are is celebrated.

Unleash your potential

StarJam is a not-for-profit where young New Zealanders with disabilities unleash their full potential through the magic of music, dance and performance. Our nationwide workshops, gigs and events connect our young people with disabilities (Jammers) with their passions, peers and wider community.
